William S. "Billy" Maxwell, Founder, President & CEO

 After serving in the energy industry in various marketing and management positions for almost 40 years, Billy founded Agile Energy in 2020. Billy has held high level management positions for leading energy companies such as Arkla, later known as Centerpoint Energy, ONEOK, and Gavilon. Billy started his career with Arkla in 1982 where he worked his way up to Director of Financial Commodity Trading. After leaving Centerpoint, Billy joined ONEOK in 1995 where he facilitated the start-up of ONEOK’s trading division. Under his management, ONEOK’s net operating income grew by $230 million in 10 years. Following his departure from ONEOK, Billy joined Gavilon where he also started their physical natural gas trading organization. After Gavilon completed its final asset sale in 2014, Billy went on to manage various consulting projects for LNG terminals, pipeline buildouts and contract negotiations. He now serves as founder / President & CEO of Agile Energy Marketing where he provides marketing services for producers to LNG plants, electric power markets, gas utilities, and industrial plants as well as financial trading and hedging services. Billy has also served on the Board of Directors for NYMEX and O’Brien Energy in Shreveport, LA. In his free time he spent many years coaching youth sports and announcing high school football games.
